BEYOND March Cohort – Spot’s Now Open

Learn to hold space with clarity, confidence, and deep somatic understanding.

Beyond: Trauma Led Training for Somatic Facilitators.

As somatic and body based modalities continue to grow, the spaces we hold continue to deepen. Whether through yoga, breathwork, movement, or other embodied practices, we are no longer just guiding people through poses, rhythms, or breath.

We are guiding people into the depths of their bodies, their nervous systems, and their personal histories.

This requires knowledge, skill, and trauma led awareness.

This 30 hour CPD training blends the latest in nervous system science, trauma theory, and body based practices to support you to show up with clarity, empathy, and professional integrity, no matter what arises in your space.

It is built around three pillars:

01
Knowledge

02
Somatic Skillset

03
Integration

Whether you are a coach, facilitator, yoga teacher, bodyworker, therapist, or healer, this foundational 30 hour CPD training will give you the tools, frameworks, and somatic skillset to support clients with trauma led sensitivity in any body based setting.

“The training every spaceholder should do!

I thought I knew already a lot about leading trauma sensitive classes but after training with real therapists who are also somatic teachers my world has expended. Now I really understand and am able to put this all into practice. This training is so important and amazing. I really recommend it to anyone holding any somatic space or even to get to know yourself so much better”

- Joy, Europe

What People Are Saying

“I loved the theory that was brought in, the case studies, the depth that was provided in the slides and examples Lydia gave from her experience with her clients.

I felt a lot of knowledge and expertise was there. It is something I will take away and want to further expand on in a learning capacity”.

— S, Ireland

“The whole training has blown my mind & really helped confirm the type of space holder I want to continue to be. I feel more confident & equipped with the possibility of facing trauma surfacing in my space, which was always something I feared.

I genuinely am still absorbing all the knowledge shared and can't wait to watch myself blossom. Thank you ladies”

— Mel, UK

“If you guide clients into their bodies and into spaces where trauma can surface, this training is essential. I’ve done quite a bit of somatic and trauma-informed work over the years, but this was the first training that truly equipped me to hold those moments with steady presence, ethical clarity, and practical skill.

It has changed how I show up for my clients”

- Giordan, UK

What People Are Saying

“This training really helped me gain a deeper understanding of how somatic work is used in trauma processing & group work. It really helped me become more aware of people’s presentations in the room and how to manage these. As well as really helped me develop my skills in using some of these somatic tools to bring more body based skills into my 1:1 work! The facilitators are very experienced and educated, I felt really privileged to be able to learn from them”

— Grace, Australia

“Thank you Katie & Lydia for bringing Soluma into the world. I learnt so much about stress, trauma and the nervous system - both knowledge to feed my learning brain and practical experience which cemented everything brilliantly.

You created a safe, collaborative container which allowed for messiness & authenticity. Have already recommended to others!”

— Rebecca, UK

WHY THIS MATTERS

People are becoming more discerning.

They are noticing what feels safe and what doesn’t and speaking about it.

There is a growing expectation that practitioners back up what they say with how they hold their work, their spaces, and their responsibility.

As facilitators, trauma-informed language alone is not sufficient.

Using concepts such as “release” or the language of trauma requires appropriate understanding, training, and care. To protect both ourselves and the people we work with, this work must be embodied.

  • This training is designed for somatic, body-based, and embodied practitioners, including facilitators and qualified therapists, who regularly hold spaces where trauma responses, nervous system activation, or emotional intensity may arise.

The course is particularly relevant for those working in movement, yoga, breathwork, embodiment, bodywork, group facilitation, or integrative therapeutic roles, who want a trauma-led, nervous-system-informed framework for safe, ethical space-holding.

For therapists, this training is offered as continuing professional development and supports trauma-led facilitation skills rather than clinical assessment or treatment.

  • For you as a practitioner, CPD accreditation means this training counts as recognised professional development, rather than informal or unverified learning.

    It shows that the course:

    • Meets external standards for quality, structure, and ethical delivery

    • Has clear learning objectives and evidenced learning hours

    • Can be used toward your annual or ongoing CPD requirements (where applicable)

    • Supports your professional credibility and accountability

    • Demonstrates a commitment to safe, ethical, and responsible practice

Whether you’re a facilitator or a qualified therapist, CPD accreditation means the learning you invest in is professionally recognised, transferable, and supportive of long-term practice sustainability — not just personal interest.

  • No. This is an educational, trauma-led facilitation accredited training, not a therapy or somatic facilitator qualification. You will not be trained to diagnose, treat, or process trauma therapeutically. The focus is on recognition, safety, pacing, ethical response, and knowing your scope when trauma responses arise in non-clinical spaces.

  • No prior trauma training is required. This is a foundational course, designed to bridge the gap between no trauma education and clinical training.
Some experience facilitating somatic or embodied spaces is recommended.

  • No. The training moves away from catharsis-led or release-focused approaches. You will learn how to recognise trauma responses, avoid overwhelm, and work safely and ethically, rather than attempting to provoke releases.

  • If you’re unsure, we recommend reaching out via our instagram @solumaschool before enrolling. We’re happy to help you assess whether the training aligns with your experience, role, and scope of practice.

  • Due to the nature of live teaching, supervision, and access to course materials, no refunds are offered once the course has commenced. If, in the unlikely event, the course cannot be delivered as advertised, appropriate remedies will be considered.
